Unrelated Sisters: Truth & Grace Conversations's Podcast
Unrelated Sisters: Truth & Grace Conversation is a safe space for every woman who's ever felt overlooked, overwhelmed, or off-track. Through honest conversation, biblical truth, and sisterhood that goes beyond blood, we journey together—restored by grace, grounded in faith, and called for more. Where two faith-filled women dive into real-life topics with honesty, scripture, and sisterhood. It’s where truth speaks, grace covers, and every woman is welcomed just as she is.
John 1:16 (NIV)
“Out of His fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.”
We choose John 1:16 because it reflects the layers of grace we talk about—the redemptive grace, the sustaining grace, the identity-giving grace—and it speaks to the fullness of Christ that we prayer pours into our listeners.
Isaiah 40:31
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
We choose this verse because it emphasizes the strength, endurance, and renewal that come from placing trust in God, which perfectly aligns with resilience, faith, and empowerment within our podcast. It speaks to the idea that, even in challenging times, women can find strength and grace through their faith, soaring above life's difficulties with renewed strength.
“Rooted in truth. Covered in grace. Carried by faith.”

Is your House Ready? - Preparing for God's Presence Now and Forever
In a world filled with noise, chaos, and division, it's easy to lose sight of the only voice that truly matters—God's. In this powerful, Spirit-led episode, Shannon and Deborah ask a soul-stirring question: Is your house ready? Not your physical home, but your heart. Is there room for Jesus?
Drawing from the book of Revelation and real-life reflections, this episode explores what it means to prepare for the most important guest of all: our Savior. We talk about fear, spiritual distractions, lukewarm faith, and how to spiritually clean house. With prayers, scripture, and truth wrapped in grace, this conversation will challenge and comfort believers who want to live ready—not just for eternity, but for today.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we speak peace, power, and preparation over every heart listening.
This episode is not about fear—it’s about faith on fire.
Prayers:
For Individuals:
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, I ask that You meet every listener right where they are. Clear out the clutter of distraction, fear, and shame. Make room in their hearts for Your peace, presence, and power. Let them feel Your love and hear Your voice louder than the world’s noise. Amen.
For the World:
God, we lift up a world that feels divided, loud, and lost. We know none of this surprises You. We ask for Your Spirit to move across this earth. Wake up hearts, Lord. Restore broken homes. Let revival start with us, in our homes, in our hearts. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

SPEAKER_02:Welcome back, unrelated sisters, Truth and Grace Conversation. I'm Shannon, and I'm with my gal Deb, and today we're stepping into something that's been pressing on my heart, a question that's more important than your politics, hot button issues, or trending news. The question is, is your house ready? There is so much noise in the world today, voices coming from every direction, news, social media, opinion pieces, even well-meaning friends. But when there is so much noise, how do you know in your heart your spiritual house is truly prepared for the most important visitor you will ever have? We're not here to talk about who you voted for or where you stand on the latest debate. None of that matters. If we're missing the voice, we should be listening to Jesus. You know, so much seems to be going on in the world today. I personally don't watch the news because it's always so awful. But you can't miss it right now. It's all over TikTok. It's all over YouTube. It's all over Facebook. Everybody has an opinion about what's going on. But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter who you voted for. It doesn't matter what issues you stand for or don't stand for. None of that matters. What matters is, are you spiritually ready when Jesus comes back today?
SPEAKER_00:Yes.
SPEAKER_02:If he comes back today, are you ready? Ten years ago, I believe I would have went to heaven, but I believe I would have been in condemnation for it. You know what I mean? I believe I was saved 10 years ago before I truly found His Word. I mean, I had to ask Him, but is that what saved me? You get my question there? I grew up in church. I went to the altar. I said the sinner's prayer, and then But then for a long time, I didn't live the life. I didn't have a relationship. So at that point, was I still saved?
SPEAKER_00:Good question. Good question. You know, I think this is a good debate or not debate, a good topic. Not a debate at all. A good topic. A lot of times we do spend a lot of our time getting our house together, house in order. physical house but not our spiritual house right you know and um i know i went through a really rough season here lately and um but god is faithful he's faithful and i don't know i've just been really working on my spiritual house i've been trying to draw closer to god and have a better relationship we i really believe we are living in the end times um we're a day closer
SPEAKER_02:One
SPEAKER_00:day. We are a day closer.
SPEAKER_02:You know, in Revelations 3, 15 and 16, it says, What does that mean? Like, if you sit down and you break that out, what does that mean? He knows what you've done, right? And you're neither hot nor cold. And he's not talking about sitting in the house under a blanket, right? He's talking about your relationship with him, right? And I can... And you'll be going through this soon with Oren. But I can remember when my kid was like 13, 14, 15 years old, right? Our whole relationship was hot and cold. You know what I mean? Like one minute... I loved him to death. And the next minute, I wanted to lock him in the closet. You know? And does God feel that way about us? I would. You know, if you sit down and you think about how we are as humans, sometimes I wonder why he don't lock us in the closet. He loves us so much, though. You know, I mean, it's just, I don't know. It just seems so... Right. Especially I remember going up in the Baptist church and I remember, you know, listening to the preachers preach on revelations and I scared to death. I was scared to death of revelations. I was scared to death of the end of times. I was scared to death of hellfire brimstone, you know, coming back to get us, you know, I scared to lie. I still ain't a good liar. I tell myself even I can try to lie, but I still tell on myself. There's things that have been embedded inside of me that I still have fear of. But at the end of the day, he leaves the 99 that have that relationship to come find the one that doesn't. At the end of the day. And so at the end of the day, it really comes down to, it's not who you voted for. It's not what you morally believe. It's not... Whether we see the same thing on abortion or we see the same thing on homosexuality, it's about He loves us. He shows us grace. I mean, I can remember times that if I'd have been the parent, I don't know if I'd have put up with me.
SPEAKER_00:For sure.
SPEAKER_02:Right? I don't
SPEAKER_00:know. I think a lot of times, for me personally, I know that I had went through the motions before. You know what I mean? I wasn't really– I think when you let the spirit of compromise in, too, where you're just like– you think, oh, this is fine. I can do this. I can do this, a little bit of this, a little bit of that. I'm not talking about drugs or anything, just things that we know as sin. Then you start compromising, and then for a long year, just really– going through the motions. You know what I mean? You lose that relationship. There's a lot of people that are sitting in church that don't have a relationship. A lot of people. They just come and they check out their box and go home and say, I've been to church today.
SPEAKER_02:That's right. They do. People... I truly believe a lot of people are like, how can you? How can you... talk with people of homosexuality or how can you be nice to these drug addicts? How can you be nice to these people that you know are cheating on their spouse? All these people you know that are living in sin, how do you be nice to them? And it's not about being nice to them. It's about showing them the grace that He showed me when I was one of them.
SPEAKER_00:But you can hate the sin and love the sinner.
SPEAKER_02:Right.
SPEAKER_00:And I feel like it's not my place.
SPEAKER_02:I've had gay people ask me, how come you don't judge me? And I said, if I judge you, then I'm a bigger sinner than you are. I can't judge you. It's not my place. I don't like what you do. I don't agree with it. I do believe it's a sin. I do believe that once you stand in front of God, that that is between you and him. But that doesn't mean it's my place to stand here and condemn you for
SPEAKER_01:it.
SPEAKER_02:It's not. Because if I'm going to condemn them, then he's going to condemn me. I am not perfect.
SPEAKER_00:I agree. I think that's it when you can just learn to love people right where they're at. That speaks volumes. Yeah. To just love them right where they're at. But also I think a lot of times people are, especially nowadays, they're to a point where they can't even feel conviction anymore. I'm grateful for that. I know if I'm doing something wrong. I know it. You know, the Lord convicts me. And I just pray for the ones that don't have conviction that the Lord convicts them because some people, their heart has grown hardened. You know?
SPEAKER_02:Yep. Yeah. And conviction is what keeps us humbled. Yeah. I mean, honestly, it keeps us accountable. It keeps me humbled. Right? When I do something and I'm like... You know, I'm just like, oh, yeah. And yes, I don't. I'm not perfect. I don't do everything right every day. You know, I roll my eyes and I have bad thoughts. And, you know, no, I'm not getting high anymore. But a sin's a sin at the end of the day. A sin's a sin. Just like a law's a law. If you break the law, you break the law. You know, I got a ticket. So my husband's birthday is June 12th. My car is in my husband's name. Last year, I'm driving to work. Can I get pulled over? And it's like september. We forgot to get our tags. That's a$30 ticket. Yeah. You know? We just forgot. It was busy. But
SPEAKER_00:it was still
SPEAKER_02:a ticket.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. At the end of the day. That's why a lot of times, even because I feel like, you know, there is things that I do that I know for a fact that's not right. And then sometimes, like you're saying, you may mess up and not know. So sometimes I pray, Lord, forgive me for everything. Any sin I've committed today, knowingly or unknowingly. Right. You know what I mean? Because I want to be ready. I do want to be ready. We never know. You never know when you walk out the door. Right. You never know when the rapture's going to take place. We're getting close. You never know.
SPEAKER_02:We have to be. And that's right. My mama makes fun of me because I'm working. If work asks me to travel, I just pack up and travel. I went to some sketchy places you know some towns that are not nice towns some places that you know I couldn't work and then once it starts to get dark I have to go to the hotel and I can't leave the hotel you know and I look at them when they ask me are you not scared to go by yourself and I'm like I'm not by myself and they're like everybody looks at me like I'm crazy and I'm like Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Don't know how I made it out of there. I can't be afraid anymore. I don't think like that anymore. I don't think of fear anymore. When approaching people, my husband gets on to me all the time because I'll see somebody walking down the road and it's 100,000 degrees outside. And I'll pull over and say, where are you headed? This is where I'm headed. I'll take you at least that far. He's like, I'm going to rob you. And you're going to be left on the side of the road dead. And I'm like, well, if that's the way God takes me, that's the way he takes me. But I can't. When I was that person... There was times I remember wishing or praying, wishing that somebody would just stop and let me have air for five minutes, right? And I can't let go of that. I can't let go of what I've done. So let me ask you, how's your house? Not your living room or your kitchen, but your spiritual home, your heart. Are you truly ready for Jesus to come in? In Revelations, God gave a word to John about the end of times. And I remember hearing the messages about the end of times and feeling scared. It was like all doom and gloom. But what I feel right now isn't fear. I don't fear the end of times. And I want you to hear me when I say it, that fear is not fear. Fear is not Jesus. Tell it. Somebody standing around you, somebody you work with, somebody sitting at the table beside you is waiting on that blessing to happen. And the only way they're going to know for sure that it can happen is to hear your story. Yes. So don't be afraid. Be prepared. Be ready. Be ready to listen when he asks you to do those kind of things.
UNKNOWN:Yes.
SPEAKER_02:You know, what's the first thing you do when company's coming? You had family in this weekend.
SPEAKER_00:Well, actually, you know what? They didn't come. They ended up not coming.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, what? Yep.
SPEAKER_00:But... You
SPEAKER_02:got off early on Friday. Why'd you get off early on Friday? We
SPEAKER_00:cleaned and we... We did. We did. And I'm like, I had it worn face down even Friday morning before I got there. Yeah. So, you know, what did you do? We did that. Made sure, yeah. Try to get her house in order.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, well, I'm leaving out of town, right? My husband's going to be at home by himself. Oh, Lord, help me. This morning I got up and I swept and I mopped and, you know, because if I die on a car wreck tomorrow and I want people to come to my house, my house would be nasty. You know what I mean? Like, so I'm not going to be here for a week. So, you know, I got up and I cleaned my house because it has to be in order because what if somebody has to come over or, you know, whatever, you know, I vacuumed and I cleaned the kitchen and I did all the laundry and I actually put it up instead of leaving it in the laundry room where we have to walk and go get it every day, you know. And I don't do it, well, I do it for several reasons. One is because I grew up in a house where we wasn't nasty, but we had a lot of stuff. So we were very cluttered. And I don't like that. I don't like clutter. I like everything has a home and it's home. It's
SPEAKER_00:just very nice and clean, by
SPEAKER_02:the way. Well, I can't help it. But also I want people. But then I think sometimes that because it is so clean and organized, people don't feel welcome in my house. Right. Because they don't feel I love it. They don't feel like they can come and be at home.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Right. I want you. I want people to be able to feel at home. So I don't over clean it. sometimes sometimes i do but i want my home to be a place of peace yeah but don't you want your spirit to be a place of peace
SPEAKER_00:absolutely
SPEAKER_02:you know don't you want don't you want to be able to and don't get me wrong i am not happy every day every day life is not rainbows and and unicorns and and you know and sparkles and all the great fun things as a girl But every day is graceful. And because every day is graceful, I can smile every day.
UNKNOWN:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:You know, and used to, it was, I put on the mask of happiness, right? There's a difference in being happy and having joy.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:And I have true joy.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:And if you don't have true joy, then ask for it.
UNKNOWN:Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02:Ask for it and truly believe that he's going to give it to you. That is how you start to get your spiritual housing.
SPEAKER_00:Yes.
SPEAKER_02:Find your joy. And don't let nobody. I refuse. I've been in places. I've been in situations where I've freely handed them my joy.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:And I refuse to hand them my joy anymore. I refuse. I'm not going to. If I'm in a situation that's taking away my joy, it's time to move
SPEAKER_00:on. Yeah. I know me and Kevin has been intentional, when I say intentional, on purpose these last three weeks, getting up together and doing our devotions together and trying to make it a point to pray at least one time together, either in the morning or evening. Sometimes we might skip a day. You know what I mean? We might not do it, but we have been... Doing devotion every day together. But it has really strengthened our spiritual walk. Changed our... Starting to change our character. How we talk to each other. How I interact at work with people. So, your spiritual health matters. Oh, it matters. Taking care of yourself and your spiritual health. Your relationships. Taking care... Your spiritual... It's not just... Also, just getting up and reading a Bible and spending time with Jesus, you need to do that. Even if it says your family is your first ministry, even being there for your family, how you are with your husband, how you are with your kids, being intentional, it's made a big difference in my life just in three weeks. If
SPEAKER_02:your house is in chaos, then your life is in chaos, right? I can remember a time when Dylan was little I was working 40 hours plus a week, trying to pay the bills. Everything just seemed so much. And I was going through a really hard time, and I couldn't balance it all. I just couldn't. But I kept going, and I kept trying, and I kept sinking further and further and further down into the hole. In six months, I got coached. and demoted at a job that, you know, I should not have. But it was because my home was in disarray. My house was in chaos, right? And I couldn't, I just couldn't. And it's okay to not be able to, right? That demotion, I stayed demoted for six months. I went in, I did my 40 hours, I went home. I took care of my home. I got my home in order. I got my bills worked out. I figured out how to manage my time in that six months and not stress about trying to improve myself at work and be a mom at home. So in that six months, that was the best six months for my career. It was the best six months. It helped me get on the track where I needed to be. with God and with a lot of things, but sometimes he takes it away just to give it back, right? He needs something better. Yes, and we can't be mad at him for it, right? If what you want is not coming fast enough, then there's a reason why, right? If you keep running into roadblocks, then maybe it's not God's telling you what to do, you know, the enemy will whisper and say, oh my God. But if it defies what the Bible says, if it takes away your joy, or if you continue to run into roadblocks, there's reasons why. Right? You can, you know, I thought I was going to... I got promoted and I started making good money and I got a really good bonus, you know, and I tithe. I don't tithe to a church, right? But I tithe 10% of my earnings to nonprofits that are faith-based nonprofits that I truly, truly believe in. I believe they are the hands and feet of Jesus. They are the ones out here talking with the people that are lost. You know, it's hard. to get an addict into a big church. It's hard. They feel judged. Even though they may or may not be getting judged, they feel judged. I tithe my money and I believe that's where it's supposed to be. I was going to start a non-profit. I knew what I wanted. I knew what I was going to do. I knew how I was going to get there and I knew And every door that opened slammed back in my face. And I was so disappointed, right? And I'm thinking, but God, you know, ain't that why you give me this money? Ain't that why you did this? Ain't that why you did this or that? Or ain't that, you know? And at the end of the day, that wasn't why. And that's okay. You know, I don't have to start a nonprofit to be a part of the community, to be a part of. That's why it put me on. in my job, right? I do a lot in my community, and I do believe it is God-led and God-fed, even though the place I work, they give us money to put back into it. But when you're preparing for your company, let's get back to where we were at. Do we do the same for Jesus? If he knocked on your heart today, would there be room for him? Or do you feel unworthy? Do you feel lost? Do you feel like you need to peek your head out the door and not open it widely? How do you get there? You don't even have to say the answer. Jesus already knows. Several times we talk about, you make fun of me about how clean my house is all the time. But It ain't clean before you get here. Right? Like every morning when I get up, I have to straighten it up. I have to, you know, I have to vacuum. I have a Roomba and technology. Love it when it works right. But my Roomba is not smart. She's not smart. Like today, she couldn't find her home. Ten times out of, or nine times out of ten, she'll go straight back to her home. Today, she kept yelling at me because she couldn't find her home.
SPEAKER_01:Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02:Like, what is that? Anyway, so would you be surprised if Jesus showed up today? No. No. Would I be surprised if Jesus showed up 10 years ago? Probably. You know, but it's okay if you would be surprised. What are you going to do to fix it? What are you going to do to prepare for him to come?
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:How about just start talking to him?
SPEAKER_00:You know, today, me and Kevin and Oren got baptized yesterday. which I think is another way to be prepared. You don't have to get baptized, but the Bible has recommended it. And so that's things that we are trying to do in our spiritual walk. We just did it as representation, going down with the old man, coming up with the new. Right. My daughter and son-in-law also got baptized, so it was a happy day for me. It's always happy when your kids or you see them trying to draw close to God and live right. So it ain't only about us. It's about them, too, and our family. But it has to start with us. You have to get yourself in order. Get your spiritual life in order. Be intentional, and I love that. I say that all the time. Be intentional. Do it on purpose. Set an alarm if you have to. Talk to Jesus. Sometimes we get so busy that we leave Him out. Yep. We leave Him out. Sometimes we can be doing a lot of good things, but they're not God things.
SPEAKER_02:Right.
SPEAKER_00:So I have to pray about that. Lord, is this a God thing? Is this a you thing or is it a me thing?
SPEAKER_01:You
SPEAKER_00:know. Is this drawing me closer to you? Right? Right?
SPEAKER_02:Right? No, I get it. I get it. And it's so easy to get life in the way. Yeah. I mean, that's why we didn't release the episode Friday because life got in the way. And it's okay. Yeah. Right? We're not going to always be perfect and we're not going to always, you know, we apologize if you missed it on Friday. I'll release one. It's my fault. I'll release one tonight. She'll post it so y'all know that we released one and then we'll be prepared
SPEAKER_00:for next Friday. Yes, we will.
SPEAKER_02:But it happens and life happens. You know, how do we love in a conflicted world? You know, and that was, you know, kind of where we got started out here today because I've been very conflicted about what's going on in the world. And I know I'm not the only one. Everyone has to be at, you know, a little uneasy about everything that's going on. It's so much easier to to judge what's going on around you, to judge the people, to judge their decisions, to judge, you know, how they handle things. Then it is to ask Jesus to show, show me my heart. Yeah. Show me where I am. Show me the truth about myself. Christ in casting crown sings a song with this, about this vert, about this, this, verse or this saying and I'm going to list it in the description below I think your listeners should go listen to it on YouTube or Spotify or whatever however you listen to music but I'll put it in the description when I do the when I get ready to post the thing but how do we show love how do we show the love of Jesus who don't To Jesus, we don't share beliefs and values because we're afraid of being condemned or bullied about it or being put more and more people. are converting over to Jesus. You see it more and more in the news. Charlie Kirk talks about God and talks about marriage and talks about different things. And he goes to college campuses and he just, you know, he lets these people just bash him down and yet he still just tells them, you know, how it is. And there's so many different ones. But And if you scroll through TikTok or Instagram, what are you following on there? So I'm new to TikTok. I still don't have an Instagram, but I'm new to TikTok. I started doing it for this podcast. I started TikTok for this podcast because people kept saying, well, that's how you get it out there. That's how you get it out there. I'm not great at posting on it. We haven't done a ton of videos, but it's led me to some things. There's a... a lady named Kayla, and she travels around the United States with her revival team. And all they do is baptize people
SPEAKER_01:for
SPEAKER_02:hours. And I'm talking about they stand out in the lake for 12 and 13 hours at a time, baptizing people, praying over people. And I'm just like, wow.
UNKNOWN:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:awesome
SPEAKER_02:you know just wow like it just it every time one of her things pop up it just blows my mind there will be people lined up for miles you know and have you ever watched the show chosen
SPEAKER_01:right
SPEAKER_02:so when jesus would go uh it's probably the best reputation i've ever seen of the bible so if you've not watched chosen i highly recommend chosen um Every time I get done watching an episode, I go to the Bible, and I'm like, oh, my God, that's really how it happened. Anyway, sorry. Distracted squirrel. But, you know, every time he goes to speak, people just show up, you know, and I pray. that that happens with this podcast. I pray that whoever is supposed to hear this podcast, hears this podcast and whoever, whether you listen to just this one or you've listened to every one of them, you know, do what God tells you to do. I'm very strong on that. I used to think, why should I love someone who condemns me for what makes me feel good? And that's why grace matters. Yes. Right. People condemn me when I was a drug addict. People condemn me. They just assume because I was a drug addict, I slept with everybody around. I didn't, but they assumed because that's what drug addicts do. I was one of the lucky ones. Daddy was the dope dealer, so I didn't have to sleep around to get my dope. Yeah. But now they judge me because of what I believe or because of... Sometimes I'm telling you, if I go down the interstate, people probably think I'm crazy. I had one of those mornings the other morning, and I was just lost in my world, praising with Jesus, and we were just having a good old time the other morning. And I feel people looking at me or staring at me. I was like, oh, Bob, it is okay. That's why we need to love people where they are. Yeah. And... you know, where they are while we're speaking the truth. You still have to speak the truth. Speak the truth in love. But you do it in love. Yeah. You know, and I remember when Dylan was little, I was not good at that, right? I was good at speaking the truth. I was not good at speaking the truth in love. You know, and so sometimes, you know, we still, we butt hands for that reason.
SPEAKER_00:Well, getting your house in order is, Spiritual house, first of all, I think you should just go in. Ask the Lord, Lord, I want to declutter. Empty out anything in me. Clean out anything in me. There's a room, a room. There's a song called Make Room. It's called I'll Make Room for You. I love it. I don't know if you ever heard it, but it's so good. And so as I was reading over this, I thought about that song. You know, I'll make room for you to do what you have to do in my life. And so it's hard to... Let God do the things He wants to do when we're full of bitterness or jealousy or anger or resentment. The things the Lord wants to empty out. We have to make room for the things that He has for us. If we're holding anger, it's hard to have love. If you're holding bitterness, it's hard to have peace and joy. That's my prayer a lot. Lord, empty me. Almost a dayly. Lord, empty me of me. It says crucify your flesh every day. I had to get up and say, Lord, I want to crucify my flesh today. This morning, me and Kevin, I was joking. I said, I'm going to ask Dad to hold you under because my dad baptized us. I said, I'm going to ask him to hold you under a little bit longer so you get cleansed a little bit more. I said, when you come back up, I'm praying that you be full of love and compassion. And he said, and I'm going to pray that when you come back up, you don't want me to be a social butterfly. I'm like, well, if that's the worst thing you can say about me, that's fine. But no, for real, we have to do that. Because a lot of times we just go, we're so busy. We're so busy in life right now. And like I said, we can be doing all these good things. But we can be also going to the motions as you're doing it. I don't want to do that. I don't want to go to the motions. I want to be spirit-led, walking in authority and in the power that God has given us to reach the world.
SPEAKER_02:That's right.
SPEAKER_00:And to do that, we have to be empty of who we are and be full of Him.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, yeah. I mean, you know, Jesus isn't going to give up on you. That's right. He's calling you to wake up, clean house, and open the door. Amen. That's what he wants you to do. Clean house and
SPEAKER_00:open the door.
SPEAKER_02:Ready for you. Matthew 24, 42. Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. That's right. No, we don't. We should be ready every day. Yeah. Right? We're ready for company to come at work. If I ain't ready for company to come because I never know when they're going to show up, then we're in trouble. Yeah. You know, I've been working at a different store last week, and we had a phone call on Wednesday morning that a plane landed at an airport 10 minutes from us. And I said, if the company shows up here today, I'm going to lunch. I said, because I'm not getting fired for this store. Right? Because it's not ready. Yeah. It's just not ready. And my boss was like, well, I think you'd get reprieved. I was like, I don't know, but it's still embarrassing.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:You know what I mean? It might not be my house, but it's still embarrassing.
SPEAKER_00:You represent it, right?
SPEAKER_02:That's the way I feel. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:That's how you feel. We're
SPEAKER_02:representing Christ.
SPEAKER_00:Same thing. That's right. You know what I mean? We're representing Christ. We should represent well.
SPEAKER_02:Represent every day, no matter where we're at, right? So if they come in, like, I'm going to take the chewing, I'm going to hold my head up, and I'm going to take the notes, and we're going to go with it. But I shouldn't have to take notes from God. Right? But if we listen, we're not taken. I don't know how to be quiet. Thank God for what He's given you. And if there's something that you truly need, thank Him for what He's going to give you. Thank Him in advance. Thank Him like you already have it. That's right. Pray love with grace and take your peace back. Yeah. Right? That's your first call to action this week. If your peace isn't there, pray daily. Yeah. And pray with a thankful heart. Read your Bible. Even if it's just one verse a day. We've discussed this. I am not the best at it. I'm not the best at reading up my Bible. I did download Audible. And I've been trying to listen to some different verses every day. I downloaded the Bible app. It sends the verse of the day to me. It pops it up on my home screen. So I've been reading that verse a day. Caleb Radio and J103, they both do a verse of the day. And you can sign up and they'll email it to you or text it to you. I've done that. So I'm getting three verses a day. And not all three verses is what I meant to have for the day, but one of them has been every day. One of them has touched my heart, led me in the direction I needed to go for the day, or just brought me joy. So not all three have hit me where I'm supposed to be that day, but one of them has. So I know it's at least setting me in the right direction. It may not be... exactly what he wants but we're working on it yeah right i'm a work in progress every day ask the holy spirit to show you what needs to be cleaned out you know deb was talking about this and young in your spiritual life in your faith midway through your teenage years of your spiritual spiritual faith even in your grown spiritual faith
SPEAKER_00:you have to ask that every day oh yeah You have to ask it every day. My dad's been walking a long time. He'll tell you. He has to go, Lord, help me right here in this area. Show me who I am. Yeah. He's one of the wisest men I know. You know what I mean? We're human. We're flesh. That's why we need Jesus.
SPEAKER_02:And then be intentional. Yeah. You know, be intentional about making space for God.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Be intentional about making space for your spouse because if you two are on the same spiritual path, you may not be at the same level spiritually, but you can be on the same path. You have to be on the same path with your kids and with how you're going to raise them and the household that you live in. But if you're on the same path, then joy is coming. Joy is on that path with you. So be intentional. Open your heart to listen. Here's my heart, Lord. Speak what is true.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:The other day, one of my associates said something, and I said, don't say that. I said, don't speak that into existence. We don't do that here. We don't do negativity here. I don't care how bad life is. I don't care how bad the situation at work is. We don't speak negativity into the world. Because when you speak it, it comes. Your tongue is the most powerful muscle you have in your body besides your heart. So be intentional when you speak to God. Be intentional when you speak to others.
UNKNOWN:Yes.
SPEAKER_02:In the descriptions of the episodes going forward, I'm going to start putting in just some individual prayers for individuals to help you. Not everybody can speak. pray. Some people get nervous. Some people think too much. They overthink it. It's really not about what you say. It's about what you feel in your heart. I can fumble my way through a prayer one minute, and then I can be God-led and God-fed, and it'd be the best prayer anybody's ever heard. When my grandmother passed away, we were at the funeral home, and one of my cousins took it really, really hard. He's been going to a police academy, and he's been working on his faith. He's young in his faith. With the way the world is today, he's afraid he can't do his job and still walk with God. He's stressed out about
SPEAKER_00:that.
UNKNOWN:Wow.
SPEAKER_02:He's afraid he can't be a police officer in this day and time and still show love to the people that need it the most. To know that that's what our young generation thinks, that breaks my heart. So my aunt's up there, and my aunt is, you know, she sweats God. You know, you can smell it on her. I don't know what else. I don't know. You know what I'm saying? You can see the glow around her. You know, she's always been one of those people that you can walk in her house and you can just feel the
SPEAKER_01:presence
SPEAKER_02:no matter what time of day or year it is. And so she's up there. She's struggling to pray for him. And you can tell she's struggling. She's wanting to, but she's struggling to pray for him. And it just, I just puke it out, right? And when we get done, she goes, she goes, I didn't know Sharon had that kind of relationship with God. And my mom goes, she amazes me too sometimes. But it's one of those things, because they know the past,
SPEAKER_01:right?
SPEAKER_02:And she used to be one of those, if you walk away, you can't come back kind of people. I've changed that in her. She's seen the difference. They've all watched the difference that it's made, and it makes a difference.
SPEAKER_00:It does.
SPEAKER_02:Let's see. Let's see. And in Jesus' name we pray. This week, let's pray that over the world. Let's pray that over Israel. Let's pray that over Iran. Let's pray this over our country, over the U.S. Let's band together. I truly believe that there is nothing stronger than a praying woman. Yes. And if we can come together, I feel like we can protect the world. Yes.
UNKNOWN:Amen.
SPEAKER_02:He's at the door. Will you open it? Until next time, keep your hearts open, your house ready, and your soul anchored in the truth and grace. We love you, sisters. And remember, don't just clean for company. Prepare for the King. Please share this with friends and anyone that needs the love of Jesus. SPEAKER_00:We love y'all.
